Doctrines of Devils

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils" (1 Timothy 4:1).

Let's take a closer look at what this verse is really saying:

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith,- God's spirit is warning us about something that is going to happen in the last days. Some will depart from having faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We see this all around us as people ignore and deny God. We can be certain that we are living in what the Bible calls the last days, by many things that are being fulfilled from scripture. Many things that were written in the Bible many years ago are now happening!

"giving heed" - means "to give attention to" people will unknowingly pay attention to things that are not true.

"to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;"- "seducing" means to be a misleader, or to trick.
