After Adam
and Eve willingly ate the forbidden fruit, they covered themselves
with fig leaves and then tried to hide themselves from God's awesome
presence. Why did they do this? They tried to cover up their sins
by the works
of their own hands. Sin will always make someone hide from God.
In Romans chapter one it says that men will "hold
the truth in unrighteousness". This is when a person willingly
rejects the truth that God has made known to him or her.
|
This
truth-rejecting person will allow the doorway to open for the
devil to blind his mind and plunge him into even more spiritual
darkness. People have hidden their sins by suppressing them to
the point that they no longer have any conscience of wrong doing.
There is no longer any fear of God before their eyes. |
|
After this
goes on for a while, God will give them over and they will be
overtaken even more by this strong delusion. They will believe
every lie that Satan casts their way. God is merciful, but one
day His wonderful "age of grace" is coming to an end
and every mouth will be stopped to the true justice of God.
|
Ask yourself:
have you been deceived by any of these lies? Maybe you heard
a minister teach that we cannot trust the Bible as a whole, or
maybe you have believed in a god or goddesses within yourself
to give you direction, or maybe you have been misled to believe
that you are not a sinner in need of God's grace, and can get
to God by any path that you choose? |
"And
ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free"
(John
8:32).
