The crafty serpent says: "Yea, hath God said". Satan was saying, "Has God really said that" or "Can God really be trusted?"

Satan's first lie was very clever indeed. Think about it, where else would he start? If he can get a person to doubt God's word he has already tricked them. After all, this lie worked on Eve, and her sin began as she began to reason with herself, looking to her own wisdom and knowledge instead of looking to God who gave it to her! She decided for herself what was truth over the divine words of God!

As Satan lied to her about God's word she began to question it. She began thinking maybe what God said was not true after all. As Eve believed this first lie, she took her first step towards disobeying her Maker. This lie caused Eve to doubt what God had said to her. This first deception of Satan, starting in the Garden of Eden, and then all throughout history, has continued to get people of all cultures to doubt the word of God.

 The attack has been getting worse, especially in our last century. Satan has raised up men such as Charles Darwin, Karl Marx, and many non-believing liberals and cults, who have tried to make the word of God have no effect.

These men and organizations say that the Bible isn't true but is based on unreliable documents filled with contradictions. The truth is that there is outstanding amounts of evidence that confirm the truth of God's word!

When a naive person hears these misleading statements, they may even depart farther from the faith because they have been brainwashed and led to believe this first lie from the master deceiver himself. Many deluded souls blindly accept what their professor, preacher or whoever Satan has used to mislead them.

If you have doubted God's word in the past, I seriously challenge you to truthfully check out the evidence for His word and humbly ask God to show you the truth. You will plainly see that every word of God is pure and has been preserved by Him down through the ages.

REMEMBER: Sin most always starts by one questioning God's word or his goodness. Satan has used these lies from the beginning of time and he will always use them (Isaiah 5:20).

THE TRUTH

Let's see what the Bible says about the heart of man: "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?(Jeremiah 17:9). We must trust in the God who made our hearts. Don't never make the mistake of trusting your own heart over and above what God's word has said, no matter how right it may seen. God's Word is truth and does not change!"For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven" (Psalm 119:89) "Thy word is truth" (John 17:17b).
