The next big lie: "ye shall be as gods'". Satan told Eve that she could be as a god! This lie has seduced millions upon millions since the beginning of time up until now.

This lie enlightens those who do not wish to know God. A lie that gives a human being selfish pride and a threshold of hope because they cling onto its beautiful side of evil.

It proceeds to give someone an esoteric understanding of what and who they really are. Most every religion and cult of the world (except Christianity) abides by this falsehood. Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Taoism, the Cabbala, Gnosticism, the occult religion of Theosophy, freemasonry, to the modern day New Age and Neo-paganism movements. This vast lie is that man believes he is God! If man considers that he is God (esotericism) he will believe that he will never die (reincarnation). He will think he knows by his own heart what is good and evil (relativism) and will decide his own truth because he believes he is god of his own universe! Oh, how Satan has fit these lies together so well! This dangerous lie has urged man to depend on his inner self (what they believe is the god within themselves) to determine what is right and wrong and to follow the desire of their own heart.

This way, they will not have to bear a conscience of what in reality is right and wrong, because in their religion their is no God that they have to give an account to! In their world there is no sin and they can do as they please. In their own mind they are released to commit any sin and to do what ever they want anytime and anyplace, never having to bear any conscience because they believe they are their own God!

Misery Loves Company

Satan indeed knew this lie would flatter the hearts of wicked man. What better lie, he deceived himself into thinking he could become as God (Isaiah 14). This lie cost Satan (once named Lucifer) everything. He was cast out of heaven and is waiting for a destiny of eternal torment in the lake of fire that burns forever and ever! What better lie than to get back at God. Satan's goal is to turn mankind who God loves so dearly astray so they will not receive the free gift of salvation and will also spend eternity in the Lake of Fire.

THE TRUTH

God is personal and is the creator of all things. "Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee" (Nehemiah 9:6). He is a God that loves His creation and is concurrently active in the center of it.
