Satan most common lies is that it is impossible to please God. Many
people are deceived by this believable and popular lie. It is
the lie that deceives people into believing that God is so morally
strict and has so many rules and regulations that it is absolutely
impossible to please Him, so they don't even bother trying.
did this lie of Satan originate?
This lie originated
in the Garden of Eden when Satan tempted Eve as he spoke his
first cunning words to humankind. "Now the serpent was more subtil than
any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman,
Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?"
3:1). By making the statement; "Yea, hath
God said" Satan is clearly casting doubt and questioning
the word of God. By making the comment; "Ye shall not
eat of every tree of the garden?", he is stating that
God has forbidden enjoyment. Satan is trying to make God look
strict by avoiding all of what God originally had said.
LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the
garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge
of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that
thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die" (Genesis
God had blessed Adam and
Eve abundantly with all the trees they could freely eat
from and given them all that anyone could possibly want
in life. God has only one restriction, and that was they
were not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
With this one restriction God was surely not asking much!
This one restriction was not to be cruel towards His creation,
but it was meant to protect them and it is was for their own good.
Satan has planted the lie that God is impossible to please. This
is a deception.
Bible is filled with the goodness of God towards His creation.
He certainly wants what is best for all of us.
