Have you ever broken the first commandment by not putting God first in your life? Everything that we put ahead of God is an idol.We must always love Him with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength.

Have you ever broken the second commandment by making a god in your own image? Did you ever have your own beliefs about God rather than the one revealed in the Bible?

Have you ever said bad things or bad words about God?

Have you always kept the sabbath day holy. Do you go to church every Sunday and pray and worship?

Have you always honored your parents?

The Bible says that if we hate someone, we commit murder in our heart.

This means to have a faithful marriage.

Have you ever stolen anything? It doesn't matter how much it cost, it is the act that is a sin.

against thy neighbour.  Have you ever lied, told a fib, white lie, half truth, etc?

Have you ever desired to have something someone else has - a toy, a bike, a video game?

Everyone that ever lived (except Jesus Christ) has broken at least one of these commandments. Most of us have probably broken most of them. Do you see now that is why Jesus had to die on the cross and become our substitute, so we could be forgiven? Anyone of the commandments that we had broken without Jesus in our life would send us to hell.

When we accept Jesus in our lives, and hearts, He will wash away every sin we have ever committed and then when we die, we can stand before God in heaven without sin. God will not allow anyone with sin into heaven. If we break one of these commandments after we become a Christian we can ask for forgiveness and God will forgive us. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (I John 1:9). That’s why accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is the most important decision you can ever make in this lifetime, because He is the only way we can go to heaven and live happily ever after.
