The Bible tells us God created
all things, everything that has the breathe of life. "In the beginning
God created the heaven and the earth" (Genesis 1:1). Isn't it all so beautiful?
He created you also, and He has a very special and wonderful plan
for your life. He is a God that loves you, His own very special
creation, so very, very much! Could it be that you have not found
this website by accident? What ever you may be seeking in life,
God is the answer. He is the only one that can fill the void in
a person's life and heart. I encourage you to read on and embrace
the love that is reaching out to you.
It's not about a bunch of rules or guilt trips. It's not about
stuffy people sitting in a stuffy church dozing through stuffy
sermons. It's not fairy tales, fables, or frivolous ideas. Want
to know the truth? Here it is.
The plain and simple truth is that there is a God in heaven who
knows you and loves you and wants you to be with Him. Forever.
No matter who you are or what you've done. "But God commendeth
his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us"
(Romans 5:8) "In
this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God
sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live
through him"(1
John 4:9)
We all need it. None of us have lived a perfect life. "For all have sinned,
and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). No matter how hard we try, we'll
never earn or deserve God's forgiveness. Yet, He freely gives
it. "For
the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23). Every human being on the face of
the earth needs to repent before a holy, righteous God. We all
have the freedom of choice to ask God for His forgiveness.
God wants to put His power to work in your life to bring change,
healing, and growth. He has a plan for your life, one that will
last forever. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever
and He came to save, heal, and deliver all those who will let
Him. Let's read what He came to do in the past and what He still
does today; this Jesus speaking: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;
he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance
to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set
at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year
of the Lord."
(Luke 4:18-19).
You can know without a doubt that you are forgiven, accepted by
God, and destined for eternal life in heaven with Him.
You see, the Bible is God's Word. In it, He explains that all
mankind has sinned, and has become helplessly separated from God.
We can't help it, we're born that way. Apart from God, there is
only eternal death. But God knew before He ever created the world
that imperfect man could never achieve perfection by himself.
He had the one and only solution. Only a perfect man could reconcile
the world to God and bring life. That perfect man would have to
give his life to pay the price for the sin of the world. That
man is Jesus Christ the Son of God. Almighty God was willing to
give His own Son Jesus so that we can be spared from eternity
in hell. There is no other way. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way,
the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by
me" (John 14:6).
"For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting
life." (John
3:16)
The Bible teaches that
Jesus Christ was God who became a man; "God was manifested in the flesh" (1 Timothy 3:16a). Jesus taught men the
ways of God and how to be saved from His wrath . Jesus suffered
greatly, shedding His blood and dying a horrible, cruel death
on the cross. Jesus was God the Son and is before all things,
He is from everlasting. Yet He chose to leave the beauty of heaven
and die on the cross to save men from their sins. There is no
greater love than this! "In whom we have redemption through his blood,
even the forgiveness of sins" (Colossians 1:14). "For there is one God, and one mediator
between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a
ransom for all, to be testified in due time" (1 Timothy 2:5-6).
After Jesus' death, He
was buried and on the third day an awesome miracle happened. He
rose from the dead! He overcame death! He lives again! After 40
days of appearing to his disciples and over 500 people and others,
He ascended back into heaven from which He came, and now sits
at the right hand of God the Father. He is now interceding (praying)
for His children. What an awesome living Lord and Savior!
He is coming back as
King of Kings and Lord of Lords! He is returning for His church
(all those who love Him and have personally chosen to make Him
their Lord and Savior). "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven
with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump
of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which
are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in
the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever
be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words"
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).
After His return for His church God will pour out His wrath on
all those who have rejected Jesus Christ. All those who are putting
themselves ahead of the God who created them. "And to you who are
troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from
heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance
on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our
Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction
from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power" (II Thessalonians 1:7-9).
You see, one day all
creation will have to acknowledge Christ's Lordship. "Let this mind be
in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form
of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made
himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant,
and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion
as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death,
even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted
him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the
name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and
things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue
should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God
the Father" (Philippians
2:5-11).
THE MOST IMPORTANT
DECISION |
Wouldn't you rather confess
Jesus Christ as your Lord now instead of waiting before you have
to stand before a holy, righteous God uncovered with the atoning
blood of Jesus? You see, Hell was prepared for the devil and his
angels, but because man will not believe and obey the gospel of
Jesus Christ there is no other place for them to go. God created
all men with a spirit that never dies. So when we disbelieve or
do not obey the gospel of Christ we actually condemn ourselves
to hell. It is our own fault. "The Lord is not slack concerning
his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering
to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should
come to repentance"
(2 Peter 3:9).
God wants no one to perish in hell for all eternity, but he still
allows a person the choice to decide for himself. God did not
create us like a puppet on a string that forces us to love Him,
but with a will that can choose to obey (love) or disobey (hate)
Him. Only this kind of love is true because it gives a choice.
God made the gospel so easy even a child can understand it, so
there is absolutely no excuse. God has provided the gift of salvation.
Will you receive it? Read on.
Everyone on the face
of this earth has a very exciting inheritance that we are all
responsible to receive. It is an inheritance much more wonderful
and superior than millions of dollars, a new mansion, or a new
car. If you were to inherit a million dollars for example, I'm
sure you would go to receive or claim it. The inheritance that
we have in heaven, we must also receive or we will not have it.
We have to receive eternal life the way God has told us in His
word, and not by the works of our own hands.
Jesus Christ never committed
a single sin, yet He was put to a cruel death on the cross. He
suffered this knowing that His death would be for payment for
the sins of anyone who would ask. God is fair and just. He won't
take away your free will while you live. So, you must ask Him
to save you from hell. By asking this, you will acknowledge your
sin and its consequences, your desire to change, and the power
of Jesus to save you. You will grant Jesus permission to make
the necessary changes in your life. This is called repentance.
God knows your heart, whether or not you believe and are truly
sincere. Read these verses from God's Word:
"That
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:9-10).
"For
whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13). "Jesus answered and said unto him,
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he
cannot see the kingdom of God"
(John 3:3).
Jesus wants us all to
have a personal relationship with Him. His grace is reaching down
to humankind. Will you receive and acknowledge Him as your Lord
and Savior? To accept Him as your Savior you believe that Jesus
shed His precious blood for you on the cross to forgive your sins.
When you are forgiven you are covered with the righteousness of
Christ, and you will be made right with God. To make Jesus Christ
your Lord means you must put Him first in your life. This means
we obey, trust, serve and worship Him with all our hearts, souls,
minds and strength. After all, He is our creator and is worthy
of all everything. "Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and
fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye
shall serve him, and cleave unto him" (Deut 13:4). This will take time and
can only be done by His Holy Spirit who comes to live in us and
guide us after we receive Christ. The Christian walk is not always
an easy walk. There will be trials and tribulations. But through
them Christ will be with us. "For he hath said, I will never leave
thee, nor forsake thee"
(Hebrews 13:5). To become a Christians is a life of happiness,
joy, peace and the only way to fill the void in one's heart. It
is a life of denying ourselves and taking up the cross and living
daily for Jesus. It is a true comfort of knowing that we will
one day be in heaven with Jesus. To receive the Lord Jesus Christ
into your life right now just say a simple prayer like the one
below meaning it with all your heart:
Dear Lord God. I come
to You a sinner and I humbly repent. I believe that Jesus is Lord
and I believe You raised Him from the dead. I ask that Jesus will
come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. I receive Jesus to
change and take control of my life that I may live for Him from
this day forth and from now on. Thank You Lord Jesus for saving
me and cleansing me with Your precious blood. In Jesus name, Amen.
If you have called on the name of Jesus Christ, and have said
that prayer or a prayer similar to it in your own words, and have
believed it with all your heart, you are saved! Words mean nothing
without belief. If we truly believe we will let Christ change
us and we will rejoice to live for Him each and every day.
3 very important steps to take as a new Christian seeking to
grow in the Lord:
1). Read the Bible daily (a good place to start is in the New
Testament with the Gospel of John).
2). Pray Daily.
3). Find a Bible believing
church that preaches the full gospel of Christ. Pray that God
will lead you to the right one. Fellowshipping with other believers
is a very important step to growth in Christ.
May God bless you in your
new life!
