All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not" (John 1:3-5).

All things or all of creation was made by Jesus Christ. He is the true light that shines in the darkness.

"And the Word (Jesus) was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth" (John 1:14).

To become a man Jesus had to first be born into this world as a baby (Read Luke 1:26-38).
The word made flesh means that Jesus was God and became a man or flesh. Flesh is what the bible refers to when it talks about man who is made out of flesh and bone.
