"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men" (2 Peter 3:3-7).

The bible says men are willingly ignorant who refuse to believe that by the word of God the heavens and earth were made.Why does man bother to create such a hard to believe religion such as evolution? Could it be that they do not want to acknowledge that there is a supernatural holy God that they will have to stand before His judgment seat and give an account to one day?

These men supress the truth in unrighteousness and believe this ignorant lie because they do not wish to change. They have no need of a savior because they do not want to acknowledge that they are in sin. They want to live according to their own imaginations and lusts of their heart. They become their own God, this way there is no one they have to ever give an account to. If there is no God, there are no rules, because they have none to answer to but them self. How seductive this dangerous lie of Satan is.
