HELL'S PRAYER!

DDON”T END UP PRAYING IN HELL….

This tract has been written in Christ’s love to those who are Roman Catholic’s. In this tract, we want to examine some very important words spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ. In this passage of scripture you will be astonished to find out that the only person recorded in the whole Bible who prayed to a saint was a wicked man in the fires of hell!

GOD’S WORD IS PURE

First, you must realize that the Bible is inspired by God, and He leaves nothing out. The Bible records what both righteous and wicked men and woman did. Every word of God is absolutely trustworthy, and man is not to change, take away, or add to it.Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar Proverb 30:5-6

Second, you can understand the scriptures. Even children can understand. “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God” Tim 3:15-16a.

Pray to God and ask Him to open your eyes to His scriptures. The Bible is for all people, not just for a priest, or those who have education, to interpret it to you. For they are only human and what if they are wrong??? Eternal life is way to important to let another human being determine how you can receive it. God wants us all to study His word.

MANY DIFFERENCES

If you are a Roman Catholic, it would be very wise to be concerned as why the Catholic Church teaches some things that are totally contrary to God’s word? One of these things the Bibles clearly teaches us is that we are not to have or pray to graven images (statues). “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God”, Exodus 20:4-5a

We all need to study God’s word daily so we can understand His truth. Another big difference and concern is, why do Catholics pray to saints when the Bible teaches very clearly to only pray to God?

If you are praying to Mary or a saint; you are also dangerously close to practicing necromancy. Necromancy is communicating with those who are dead. It is a hideous sin that is an abomination to a holy God (see Deut 18:10-12). Abomination is one of the strongest words used by God for something He utterly detests.

THE PRAYER FROM THE FIRES OF HELL!

In fact, you will be totally shocked and appalled to know that there is only one place recorded in the Bible where a person prayed to a saint. It was from the fiery depths of hell! Spoken from the very mouth of Jesus Himself of how a wicked man prayed in hell to a saint. Let us read the whole parable that Jesus spoke, so you cannot miss it:

“There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead” (Luke 16:19-31).

DOCTRINES FROM HELL

Let us examine some of the wrong doctrines done by the rich man. “And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame”. Jesus tells us to call no man Father except God in heaven. Why are priests called Father?

And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven” Matthew 23:9.

This man prayed to and called Abraham his father, and this was very wrong. We all know that Abraham was a righteous man in scripture. He was a great man of faith. If he wasn’t to be prayed to, then no other saints are to be prayed to either. If you are praying to Mary or any other saint you will also be where this rich man was one day. Crying out in torment and agony from the very depths of hell. Your prayer will be the same as this rich man’s, to only fall on the ears of those that can absolutely do nothing for you.

Only Jesus can give you the living water that lasts for all of eternity. The water that the rich man longed for but could not have would have only satisfied him for a brief moment. But the living water is what we all need to seek that leads to eternal life. Don’t fall for the temporary earthly water such as man made religion that leads to hell. But rather seek the living water which is given by the Lord Jesus Christ and the only One who can fill the void in your empty heart. “Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely” Rev 22:17b. The invitation is open to you right now as you are reading this tract to receive eternal life. Will you receive it God’s way or will you end up in the lake of fire?

And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence” Luke 16:26 . Once in hell it is a place of endless torment, you can never get to the place of comfort. Your prayers will not be answered, because you have died in your sins. One day, death and hell will be cast into the lake of fire. “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire” Revelation 20:15.

“Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house” Luke 16:27.

As he prayed to Abraham he knew where he had gone wrong. He had not repented while he had been alive. Now it was to late! But he still had mercy on his brothers, but unfortunely he was indoctrinated into believing that Abraham could help them.

Abraham’s answer; “They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them “. If those living will not hear the word of God over man’s words, it surely will be to late when they pass into eternity… Jesus rose from the dead – but still man did not believe…

Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent The rich man in hell was telling a saint what would happen if those who rose from the dead would go to his brothers. Just like in his former life, the rich man obviously thought he knew what was best, but where did it get him? A place called hell! We need to trust in God’s word’s, not any priest’s, not our own heart; nothing… but the word of God!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO REPENT?

Let’s take this story serious and find out what does it mean to repent while we still can? God only hears a sinner that repents while living on this earth. Everyone is separated from God because all of us have sinned. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon Isaiah 55:7.

Repentance is when a person becomes sorrowful because of the sins he or she has committed in the eyes of a holy God. It is to realize that they are lost and separated and headed for hell if they do not cry out and receiving the loving forgiveness that only Jesus Christ can give. It is a heart determination to forsake sinful living and allow Christ to come in and become the Lord of their life and change their heart. It is desperation to please a holy God because they are tired of living in sin.

THE BIBLE TEACHES GOOD NEWS…

Jesus Christ died on the cross and shed His atoning blood so we could be forgiven of our sins. “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many;” Hebrews 9:28. There is absolutely no other sacrifice needed! Jesus paid our debt of sin in full!. Jesus said: “repent ye, and believe the gospel” Mark 1:15. All He wants us to do is repent and believe His Gospel. Now that we know what repent means, what does it mean to believe the Gospel? This does not just mean to believe in God and believe what he did. Most people already believe in God or a higher power that they call god. Believing the Gospel is much more than this. It is to believe that much in the Lord Jesus Christ that it causes a change of heart. You become born again and set aside for God’s purposes. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12.

Dear Catholic friend, ask yourself the most important question; do you trust in God’s word or in man’s? As you have seen, the Bible and Catholic teachings appear to be completely different on what really matters most. Which way will you turn? Will you trust in the living and the risen savior? The One who rose from the dead so you can live again? Or will you continue to trust in man’s word which will not be able to do anything for you when you stand at the judgment seat of Christ. Are you still determined to pray to any dead saint or idol? What can they possibly do for you once you are in hell? Why not put your trust in Jesus Christ, the living Lord and Savior the only one who can save you from death and hell. I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death Revelation 1:18.

PRAY TO GOD ALONE

Now is the time to repent and pray to God the Father in heaven who is the only one that can save you from hell by His Son Jesus Christ. “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” Matthew 10:28

Why do you think that this passage in Luke was recorded in the Bible? Jesus Christ loves you so much and all He wants is for you to put your trust in Him not in any man made doctrines that only lead to hell.

No amount of good works, no amount of rituals, or praying the rosary, no amount of riches, no amount of intelligence could have ever saved this man, or anyone else! Only the Lord Jesus Christ can save you!. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

The Lord Jesus Christ is the only one that can forgive you so you can be righteous before a holy God and made fit for heaven. JESUS IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN SAVE YOU! The Bible says in Romans 10:9; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him(Jesus) from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

If you are ready to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ so He can save you from sin and hell, ask Him to come into your heart and life and be your Lord and Savior. Just do the following things:

1). Admit to God that you’re a sinner (Romans 3:10).

2). “repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15).

3). Believe that Christ died for your sins, was buried and rose from the dead (Romans 10:9). You must have faith in Jesus and Him only for your salvation.

4). Pray and invite Jesus Christ to come into your heart and life and forgive you of your sins (Romans 10:9-13). Ask Him to be your personal Lord and Savior.

5). Make Jesus your Lord by trusting in Him and giving Him control over every part of your life.

YOU CAN HAVE ASSURANCE FOREVER!

If you have called on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, by faith, believing and asking Him to save you, you are saved! Words mean nothing without belief! If you truly believe, you will humbly allow Christ to begin working in your life so you can fulfill the plan that He has for you.

The Bible says in 1 John 2:3; "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments” If we truly know Jesus Christ as our personal savior, we will KEEP His commandments and our hearts desire will be to SERVE Him in any way that we can.

1). Read the Bible daily (a good place to start is in the New Testament with the Gospel of John).

2). Pray daily.

3). Find a Bible-believing church that preaches the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray that God will lead you to the right one. Fellowshipping with other believers is a very important step to growth in Christ.

4). Obey God's commandment and be baptized.
